Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026

This policy explains what information Flysword collects, why it is used, and the choices you have when visiting flysword.music.

Who we are

Flysword is a Seattle, Washington music project. For privacy questions, access requests, deletion requests, or concerns about this policy, contact connor [at] flysword [dot] music.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide. Email addresses and phone numbers submitted for newsletters, free downloads, or updates. Phone signup also records your SMS consent.
  • Purchase information. Your email address, order amount, purchased release, and Stripe session reference. Stripe processes payment card details; Flysword does not store full card numbers.
  • Smart-link analytics. We record anonymous smart-link page views, destination clicks, the selected platform, and timestamps for every visitor. These counts contain no identifier and are not tied to your tracking choice. Unless you opt out, Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags may also receive page and conversion events.
  • Store conversion measurement. Unless you opt out, store actions such as viewing a release, adding it to cart, starting checkout, completing a purchase, or claiming a free download may be sent to Meta as conversion events. These fire from your browser and, for purchases and free downloads, also from our server alongside a hashed version of your email address.
  • Technical information. Hosting, database, storage, payment, and email providers may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser or device details, request logs, and security events.

Cookies and browser storage

Flysword uses a small amount of essential browser storage, plus analytics tools you can opt out of:

  • Tracking preference. Remembers your analytics choice for 180 days so the notice does not appear on every visit.
  • Cart and download access. Browser storage keeps your cart available and remembers a free download gate during the browser session.
  • Admin session. A signed, HttpOnly cookie keeps the site owner signed in to the admin area for up to seven days. It is essential and is not used for advertising. A companion marker cookie tells our analytics to ignore the site owner’s own visits.
  • Meta Pixel and Google Ads. These third-party tools load by default and stop once you opt out. Their cookies and similar technologies are governed by Meta’s and Google’s own privacy policies.

How information is used

  • Provide the website, music previews, downloads, receipts, and requested communications.
  • Process purchases, prevent fraud, maintain records, and resolve download or order issues.
  • Send newsletters, receipts, product updates, or SMS messages where you have given the required consent.
  • Measure smart-link visits and destination clicks (anonymous counts) and, unless you opt out, store conversions.
  • Keep the site secure, debug errors, and comply with legal or tax obligations.

Service providers

Flysword uses service providers to operate the site, including Supabase for database and file storage, Stripe for payments, Loops for email receipts and newsletters, Meta and Google for advertising measurement, and hosting or storage providers for site delivery. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.

We do not sell personal information for money. Where applicable law treats advertising-pixel events as sharing for targeted advertising, you can avoid that sharing by choosing “Opt out” on the cookie notice.

Retention

Purchase records are kept as needed for order access, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal purposes. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Smart-link event records are kept while they remain useful for measuring releases. Your tracking preference expires after 180 days.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of analytics and advertising measurement with the cookie notice, unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in those emails, or contact us to stop SMS messages. Use to reopen the notice and change your tracking choice.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise a right, contact connor [at] flysword [dot] music. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Security and transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authenticated admin access and provider-managed infrastructure. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and legal transfer mechanisms.

Children

Flysword is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site or its services change. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
